When the WTS came out with their public statements about how they deal with molesters and I know from personal experiance this was a BIG LIE!!! Also, and elder told me that and I quote "if a 13 year was seductive, the judgement would be less severe". Nice load of BS!! I have too may "good" quotes, some on tape to post here, as my hands would be to tired.

Help - what is the very latest on blood transfusions?
by twinkletoes inwe are in the process of writing our final letter to the elders, which will no doubt end in our disfellowshipping or disassociation, and require some up to date info on the blood issue.. due to the wbts policy on blood over the years and my acceptance of it, i almost lost two of my sons at birth.
i am amazed at the u-turn on this blood policy by the org.
and feel very bitter about all that they have taught us for the last thirty years.

This is a real mind bender. On one hand they say "no storing blood, against gods law" THEN they have said "take fractions based on your consience".. HELLO GB!!!!!! How do you take fractions if they were not stored.
When I was born my parents faced a die or blood drama and I was removed from my parents, given blood, lived to post here. I recently asked my mother, "If you had let me die and then you found out now that I could have taken the fractions, would you still believe the GB speaks for god??" She could not reply beyond, "WE have the ressurection hope". Nice insurance policy, even if you die (oops, our policy changed!!!,) Its OK. (haevy on the sarcasm here folks). Sometimes you wonder if the JW's are Satans greatest achievment. Anyone else feel the same??

Elders' kids - special treatment?
by starfish422 init seems to be the opinion of some on this board that elders' kids received special treatment, weren't punished for their wrongdoings, etc.. as the daughter of the po in our small congregation, let me tell you that it was much harder for me than for the kids of those who weren't elders.
our family was expected to be the "model family for displaly purposes" and we were held up to very high standards so that we didn't "stumble" anyone.
at times i wished my dad wasn't an elder so that i could have a bit more freedom.

As elders kids we had to master the double life skill just like our elders parents mastered it. Most if not all elders and children have "something" in the closet that could have the elder removed if someone so desires. It is a system of forced compliance and jw's try desperatly to back it up with scripture quotes. One of the BIGGEST bullshit theories is that "elders are appointed by holy spirit". This keeps the dumb jw's in line and the intelligent jw's keep from asking questions or questioning god by going against the elders. NICE TWISTING OF HOLY SCRIPTURE!!!!!!!!!! As a side point, I have met a FEW elders who were honest and sincere but most were HYPOCRITS to the extreme, anything they did or said stupid was due to imperfection but anyone else was weak spiritually or apostate. Morons!!!

I think everyone on the board should be open to ALL viewpoints and stories. I WAS and then was not an elders kid and Yes at times you did get special treatment when everyone LIKES your elder father. Then WHOA NELLY if someone "has it in for" your dad. Then you still got special treatment but it was very harsh and fast to remove or discredit your parent.
Also as a side point, once you dad is no longer an elder, your "jw" social life drops like a rock. All of a sudden your "longtime family friends" barely notice you. Mabey thats a topic for other forums but hey it happens.
